Be a King for a Day! Attend a virtual or in person Open House, a virtual tour, or an in person shadow visit:

If I cannot attend an "in person" Open House, is BK offering private virtual tours on a regular basis?

Yes, if a family can't visit in person, we also offer private virtual tours/zoom calls which provides students and parents a wonderful opportunity to learn about the Bishop Kearney family from the comfort of your own home. It all starts by completing the Inquiry Form which is located under the Admission tab. After the inquiry is completed, check your email for username and password instructions to access the online admissions portal so that you can register for an upcoming Virtual tour. If you have trouble registering, simply send an email to hilardo@bkhs.org requesting access to our next Virtual tour. The email you use to register for Virtual touris the email that we will send the invitite to for this event.

We hope to have you on campus (in person or virtually) in the future to meet the teachers and staff, tour our 2 dorms (female dorm and male dorm), see our 21st Century Technology, hear the BK success stories, learn more about the College Prep. Plus Program, our 100% graduation rate, $10 million in college scholarships including students accepted to Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Cornell, and Penn... and how Bishop Kearney students have the skills and knowledge to succeed in college and the real world!

Admissions process:

The Admissions process at Bishop Kearney is as easy as 1 -23. Go to the school website www.bkhs.org and under the admissions menu go to INQUIRE NOW and complete the 3 steps listed below to access the online application and admissions portal:

Step 1: Complete the Inquiry

Step 2: After completing your Inquiry check your email!
- You will receive emails with instructions on how to get your password and username.  Once your account is set up, this will allow you to track your progress in the enrollment cycle from start to finish (application, registering for a Virtual Open House, scheduling an admissions interview, applying for FACTS/financial aid, enrollment contracts, and re-enrolling next year). Please save your log-in information as you will use this to enroll/register your new student.

Step 3:  Complete the online application for admissions. This step can only be completed after steps 1 and 2. The admissions committee meets weekly to review admissions applications.  Day students and boarding students are accepted based on the following factors:
  •   completed application (bkhs.myschoolapp.com)
  •   previous year's report card/transcript
  •   current year's report card/transcript (i.e. quarterly reports or mid semester snapshot)
  •   teacher letters of recommendation
  •   admissions interview (scheduled in the admissions portal bkhs.myschoolapp.com)

Why a student interview instead of an entrance exam?  Applicants are accepted based on 3 factors: academic transcript, teacher recommendations, and the admissions interview. A 2-hour standardized test/entrance exam is not an accurate reflection of a student's true potential. The interview allows Bishop Kearney to get to know you as a "whole" person and how you live out our school motto "Do All Things Well". You get to express how you will positively impact our school academically, spiritually, socially and/or athletically. It's a conversation - nothing to be nervous about. This is an opportunity for Bishop Kearney to learn a little more about you, and for you to learn more about Bishop Kearney.

Interview Planning

Relax and be yourself! Interviews are conducted in person at Bishop Kearney for all local students. Students should be dressed professionally. Boarding/International students or students with medical issues have the option to request a virtual interview.

How to schedule your interview? Admissions interviews are typically held November to June on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and during school breaks.  Admissions interviews can be scheduled in the admissions portal (bkhs.myschoolapp.com). If you have trouble scheduling your interview, please email Enrollment Management Specialist Heather Ilardo (hilardo@bkhs.org).

After the Interview:

The interview is the final piece of the admissions process, assuming you have completed the online application, and uploaded your report cards and teacher letters of recommendation. After your interview, a quick thank you note is always appreciated. The Enrollment Office will send notification of admission status via email after the Admissions Committee review. Check your online account (bkhs.myschoolapp.com) for the decision letter (acceptance, denial, or wait list) and refer to your online checklist for next steps to finalize the enrollment process.

Financial Aid Application & Tuition Contracts:  Bishop Kearney partners with FACTS to process online financial aid applications and to set up tuition payment plans. The FACTS application portal for families applying for 2023-2024 school year will be available after October 12023 and can be accessed from your online checklist (bkhs.myschoolapp.com)
